Painting and waterproofing a home for Airbnb

A client in the charming coastal town of Melkbosstrand gave us the go ahead to spruce up and paint his home in time for the December holiday season, as he aims to open it to visitors via Airbnb.

After washing the outside and boundary walls with a high pressure cleaner, we chopped open and filled the wall cracks and repaired other areas with a filler. Sanding down the walls achieved a smooth finish, and we were ready to apply a spot prime. We then applied a top quality Midas paint that would last many years in hot, windy coastal conditions.

Painting pergolas

The home also has wood pergolas and metal frames which needed painting and sealing. To restore the wood and metal to its original condition, we sanded it to a smooth finish before applying two coats of black paint to the wood and two coats of Metal Etch Primer to the metal.

After two weeks of work, we finished ahead of the summer season, and the house looks stunning!
